Travel Information to the University of Connecticut

AIRPORTS

Bradley International Airport (BDL) is the closest airport to UConn, website:  www.bradleyairport.com. 

1. UConn Airport Shuttle - ($50) visit http://park.uconn.edu click on ‘transportation’ and ‘airport shuttle’.  You will need to pay your driver the exact fare on arrival.  Make your reservation at least two weeks in advance.
2. Avalon Transportation Service (~$100) email:  ctservice@avalontrans.com  or call 860-569-5656 or 800-395-5466 to make a reservation.  Make your reservation at least two weeks in advance. http://avalontrans.com.

3. Taxis – (~$85) Taxis are available outside of the airport.  If there are no taxis at the airport please go to the Ground Transportation desk and they can arrange a taxi for you.

New York City Airports – Kennedy Airport (JFK)

• Option 1
  From Kennedy Airport (JFK) in New York take the AIR TRAIN to Jamaica Station (the last stop). At Jamaica Station transfer to the “E” Line (Blue Line). Take the “E” Line all the way to Manhattan and exit at “42 Street – Port Authority Bus Terminal”.
• Take the Peter Pan bus from New York Port Authority Bus Terminal to Storrs, University of Connecticut. The ticket is $29.00.

• Option 2
  Take a Taxi from JFK Airport to New York Port Authority Bus Terminal on 42nd St.
• Take the Peter Pan bus from New York Port Authority Bus Terminal to Storrs, University of Connecticut. The ticket is $29.00.

Boston Airport – Logan International Airport (BOS)
From Logan Airport (BOS) in Boston take the Peter Pan bus to Storrs, University of Connecticut. Pick up the bus outside of Terminals A, B, C, E. The ticket costs $38.50 and you should pay the driver in exact change. Tell the driver you need to go to Storrs, UCONN.

Hotels  (near UConn)*

• Nathan Hale Inn – www.nathanhaleinn.com  call (860) 427-7888 for reservations.  The Nathan Hale Inn is located on the UConn Storrs Campus and is the easiest place for new students to stay if you arrive early.
• Best Western Regent Inn - http://www.bestwesternconnecticut.com/hotels/best-western-regent-inn/  or call (860) 423-8451 is located in Mansfield Center only 6 miles from the UConn Storrs campus.

Hotels (near Bradley Airport)*

• Sheraton Bradley - http://www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=19  or call (860) 627-5311.  The Sheraton Bradley is located at Bradley Airport and is easy to get to should you need to stay in a hotel.
